π Hi, welcome to the life of a unique boy
Eddie Kong
I'm Eddie Kong β a keen footballer, a curious learner and a proud dog-owner.
My name is Eddie Kong. I live in Cambridge and currently attend Secondary School. Though I seem like a normal eleven-year-old boy, there is more to me than meets the eye. As well as studying at school, I also spend a large amount of my time playing football and other intense sports, exploring my numerous interests and caring for my cute but energetic dog. 01 β the basics
Facts about me
Here are some key facts about me that summarise all of my hobbies, opinions and experiences.
- 01
I've finished Grade 6 in Piano, and have been practising since I was 6.
- 02
I'm originally from China, but I moved to Cambridge when I was young.
- 03
On the weekends, I have many activities: football, piano lessons, badminton, Chinese lessons and, most importantly, time to relax.
- 04
I love history, especially ancient history, so I go to museums very often, such as the British Museum. This has helped me to gain lots of knowledge about ancient civilisations, and now I know over 100 ancient gods.
- 05
I have many talents in areas of the curriculum but, strangely, I'd say that my biggest talent is my memory. I can remember a long list of items in a short amount of time when I concentrate, such as memorising hundreds of digits of pi, but when I am distracted, I remember almost nothing at all!
- 06
Though I'm skilled at many things, there are also countless areas in which I simply don't excel. One of these is art. I'm not very good at putting paintbrush on paper but I still like admiring the artwork of masterful artists such as Da Vinci and Van Gogh.
- 07
My favourite meal would probably be sushi with a milk tea but I also love Mediterranean delicacies such as pizza, pasta and olives.
- 08
A place that has really changed my opinions about history is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Before I went there, I had been to around 20 countries and I thought that old ruins were nothing compared to the size of modern buildings and the pyramids would be nothing special. However, when I was standing at the base of the 139-metre-tall megalith, I realised that it was just as imposing, if not more spectacular, than modern skyscrapers. The age of the pyramid made it even more stunning β the tower of limestone had been standing tall and proud for 4,600 years, whereas modern concrete only lasts about 100 years.
- 09
I used to love collecting PokΓ©mon cards and I would trade them with my friends every time we met up. Now, I have stopped collecting them because they are basically just pieces of paper.
- 10
I would definitely recommend the online game Roblox. There are thousands of games on the platform and you can also chat with friends while playing your favourite game. Though some games can be addictive, I would strongly recommend it as a way of relaxing while keeping connected to friends.
- 11
I love football β it is my greatest passion and I play it every chance I get. However, one thing people usually don't guess about me is that I don't particularly love watching it. Though it's exciting when goals are scored, it's not as thrilling as having the ball at your feet and taking on defenders. Most of my friends assume I love watching other people play football as much as I love playing it myself but instead, I like watching tennis and ping pong.
- 12
I would really like to start my own YouTube channel before the end of the year to share my life and hobbies with other people through videos. If you found this interesting, please check out other ways to contact me. I'd be happy to listen to your views and hobbies too!

Top ten greatest footballers of all time

10
Alfredo Di StΓ©fano
He's an icon and a legend for Real Madrid. Born in 1926, he helped Real win 5 consecutive European Cups (the old version of the Champions League) with his goalscoring ability and versatility as a striker and a defender.
-
09
Garrincha
People usually talk about PelΓ© when it comes to the greatest player during Brazil's 1950s and 1960s World Cup successes, but what many people forget is the major contribution of another Brazilian in these victories β Garrincha. He revolutionised the right wing, using his magical feet to both create and score goals and becoming the first player to win the Golden Boot, Golden Ball and World Cup trophy all in one tournament. The PelΓ©βGarrincha duo was so effective that Brazil never lost a single match with them both on the pitch.

08
Johan Cruyff
He was a true footballing pioneer, voted as the European Player of the Century. During his time at Ajax and Barcelona, he introduced a concept that would change the beautiful game forever β Total Football. This was where players would temporarily change positions on the pitch to effectively confuse defenders and bring wing-backs up the pitch. His masterful tactics led him to become an effective manager.
